Boost the donations made through your web site with in-line donation forms
We have found a simple way for not-for-profits to significantly increase donations by placing donation forms in-line on your web site.
If you’re one of the many not-for-profits collecting donations online, here’s an approach that takes the ubiquitous “Donate Now” button one step further. We’ve found that, absent of campaigns to mobilize your donor base, the majority of “Donate Now” pages receive only a minimal portion of overall web site traffic. I’m talking less than 1% of page views...
We have found a simple way to significantly increase donations during everyday interaction with your organization by placing donation forms in-line on existing forms. These can be used in place such as:
- Event sales and registrations
- Product or service sales
- Membership fees
- Signup and renewal pages

As another option, you can allow someone to submit a form or function, and then prompt them to update their order with a donation.
Our experience has shown the best donation results come when a supporter is already making a payment, in which case the incremental effort to make a donation is minimal. This approach does work on standard forms with no payment... just at a lower response rate.
If you register 100 attendees at an event, a $25 donation from 10% of participants is still $250. Repeat this approach across the variety of interactions with your organization and this can add up to significant additional fundraising.
